When looking at the month of July I thought it was going to be a quieter month, but it turns out I was wrong. The mayhem continues on.
Here at Slight Motif we have been loving all the events that have been happening recently. Over the past week our team have attended the Jameson Connects series at The Sound House where we've seen performances from some of the notable artists in the Irish Music Scene. We also let our hair down over the weekend at Kamil Events' Red Cup and later that night continued the party at R3d's House.
Luxury Friday
DJ Ahmed is returning to Farrier & Draper tomorrow Friday, 14th July to bring another instalment of Luxury Friday. Expect to hear the best of Hip Hop, Afrobeat and R&B while you dance the night away. Red Cup Summer BBQ Festival Part 2
It's time for Belfast to have one of their littest parties of the summer. Red Cup Summer BBQ Festival Part 2 is set to take over the Tipsy Bird on Saturday, 15th July for a day party and BBQ in their stunning garden and then moving inside to continue the party. Guests will be treated to the finest DJs and MCs from Ireland and the UK.

VIYBZ // SUMMER // PARTY
The day parties are in full swing this weekend across the whole of Ireland with Cork also hosting an elite event. Get ready to get your hips moving to the finest of Amapiano, Afrobeats and Hip Hop while also getting your hands on some continental food, shisha, cocktails and much more. Gaia is the place to be this Saturday, 15th July 2023.

The Box "Dublin"
Farrier & Draper is going to be buzzing all weekend as they see another event taking place on Saturday night. This new club night is focusing solely on the Club Hits, Hip Hop and R&B and not aimed at featuring Amapiano or Afrobeats. The Box “Dublin” is brought to you by the amazing Ush Ush Events. I think this is the cheapest tickets I’ve seen for a club night in a long time.

Mayfair Saturdays @ The Ball Room
You already know the drill with this one your favourite weekly event hosted by DJ Ahmed at The Grand Social Ballroom. Expect to hear the finest of Hip Hop, Amapiano and much more from DJ Ahmed and some surprise guests.

Still I Rise: Won’t You Celebrate Me?
There is a wonderful exhibition taking place at Hens Teeth on Sunday, 16th July 2023. Olamide Ojegbenro alongside SoulSPCE has curated this exhibition which aims to capture and highlight the beauty and strength of black women in Ireland. This exhibition will deliver; experiences, struggles and triumphs through portraits and stories. Make sure to get down on time as there will be refreshments and an interactive Q+A.

L2P Day Party
Everyone’s favourite, L2P party is returning to Rascals HQ this Sunday, 16th July 2023. DJ Wax will be providing the vibe at this over 20s event. Things are set to kick off at 6pm with a dress code of dressy casual. Anyone who is attending this event is in for a huge treat so make sure you’re ready to live life to fullest and dance all night.

Cold Summit II
The Big Romance on Parnell Street is being taken over again for the 2nd instalment of Cold Summit on Wednesday, 19th July 2023. This intimate venue will see performances from; Nealo, Jehnova, Zimback, Luthorist, Rebel Phoenix, Sweetlemondae and a DJ set from Sivv. Jameson Connects
Back with their 3rd instalment of this summer next Wednesday, 19th July, Jameson Connects is set to lift the roof off The Sound House. Fortune Igiebor, Danzi and Kid Kuba will be taking to the stage so get ready to rage. The night will be polished off with a DJ set from DJ OJ.
