SEQUENCE IS BACK WITH NEW MUSIC AND LATEST SINGLE 'MY WAY!'

Having spent the first few months of 2021 directing videos for some of the key names on the Irish drill and Afrobeat scenes, Sequence returns to his own musical output with his first release of the year. 'My Way!' is a song for those who work 9-5, a drill track to soundtrack the weekend before returning to the normal world. Produced by LukeFly, the track kicks off a series of projects that will take in drill, Afrobeat and dancehall.

With the Irish urban and hip-hop scenes constantly expanding to include new genres and sounds, the increasing influence of Afrobeat is being felt across the country - not least in the music of young artist and video maker Sequence.

The past few years have seen him build an audience both at home and in the UK, the latter through his appearance on the influential Afro Bashment Spotify playlist, while his debut Take Time EP led to a Longitude festival appearance.

Taking a break from releases to launch on his New Eire video platform, he returned in early 2020 with the single 'Pimpin’ and the Misunderstood EP - a collection that also included the Afropop anthem 'Shine'. The next step was to team with fellow Galway resident LukeFly for 'Free', once more combining cutting edge beats with an ear for melody and receiving support from the likes of Spotify, BBC, Rinse FM and Reprezent.
