SELLÓ live at the Sound House

Last month we got an exclusive invite to watch Sello perform his first live show at the Sound House @ Edens Quay. We got to see the young Clondalkin rapper who has been dubbed the new sheriff in town after dropping two massive drill anthems ‘Dublin’ and ‘As Gaeilge’. Championing a new sound “GaelicDrill” whereby he fuses traditional Irish culture with the Morden drill/hip hop sound. Using traditional Irish samples as a backbone to some of the hardest bars, Sello’s thick Dublin accent stands in defiance of one of the big criticisms of Irish drill so far: That it sounds too English. Sello is anything but, and these street anthems are about to go mainstream this summer: It’s a sound that can’t be stopped.

Supported by Skripeth & Craig Cooney, Sello took centre stage to give us a performance to remember. Check out some footage below.
