Kid Kuba opens up about relationships on 'Push to Start'

Kid Kuba is back with a new release and one that is bound to catapult him into the current Irish scene. Having released his first song “Bulletproof” in 2019, Kid Kuba has been using his time since to collaborate and experiment.
“Push to Start” was released on Friday, 7th May 2021. This is the first release and lead single off his debut EP “A Bunch of Love Songs” which is set for release over the coming months. The release of this track prepares us for a busy year of releases from Kid Kuba but also leaves us anticipating what to expect from the youngster.

Kid Kuba is a diversified singer and rapper from Blanchardstown, Dublin. He has been interested in music his whole like and began to write his own songs aged 11. Kid Kuba was introduced to a Youth Centre in his area, which had a studio. From here he kept working and experimenting and has been evolving his sound ever since.
“Push to Start” takes influence from many R&B and neo-soul artists in terms of style and production, including; Frank Ocean, 6lack and Bryson Tiller. Although only having released 3 previous singles and featuring on Systematic Entertainment Production’s “The Chi Tapes”, Kid Kuba has been steadily working behind the scenes to learn and improve himself and his music.
This track deals with many topics and allows listeners to create their own story of attraction while subconsciously noting the complications of modern day relationships. When creating this track, Kid Kuba wasn’t just focusing on love or friendship but also on society and money. Highlighting these topics give listeners something to relate to but also gives them means to think about current situations and looking for ways to escape the traps.
