Basciville releases brand new single 'Bloom'

'Bloom' is the third track released from Basciville's much-anticipated debut album 'Hymns To The Air' (Worldwide release Friday, 26th February 2021).
‘Bloom’ is a new take on an indie-folk song with an alternative 90's rock sound. At its core, the song explores the duality of innate hope; a thing that saves us, as well as a thing that holds us back from progressing. Finding the balance between holding on and letting go. Written and produced by the band themselves, 'Bloom' came to be during the first Irish lockdown when both Cillian and Lorcan Byrne took time to reflect on ultimately what Basciville could be, how they could create an album that is uniquely their own whilst still honouring the artists that helped shape them.

Basciville are multi-instrumentalist brothers, Cillian & Lorcan Byrne from Wexford. They began creating music together in 2016. Their distinctive sound combines raw emotive lyrics, paired with intense percussion and dark orchestral harmonies. Basciville independently released their debut EP 'Blues in Red' in 2016, receiving major critical acclaim. The follow-up EP 'For All Lost Youth' in 2019, featured lead track 'Post Youth' which received glowing reviews with national and international radio support.
The music video for 'Bloom' was created and directed by the brothers, once again during the lockdown.
